  • Ability to read, modify, and create process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Experience in interpreting structural design criteria and converting into specific layouts.
  • Generate sketches, plans, sections, and details from a 3D model.

Effective skills to help you flourish:

  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.

  • AEI passionately invests in our brilliant talent by allowing for personal and professional growth through supporting clients like NASA; the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL); the US Department of Energy; Independent Power Producers (IPP’s) such as Calpine Energy; Energy Service Companies (ESCO’s) such as Vicinity; and many other regional utility clients in the electrical generation and manufacturing sectors.
  • We provide the opportunity to assist local and regional utilities and communities to improve and modernize their systems. This includes assisting clients such as Evergy and Kansas City Board of Public Utilities with upgrading their aging utility infrastructures, University of Missouri-Columbia on replacing their steam turbines, and the University of Colorado-Boulder on installing new combustion turbines.
  • Our flexible and collaborative work environment demonstrates our dedication to employee appreciation and collective commitment to excellence.
  • Our culture encourages professional development while adhering to a set of core values that drive company and team decisions. Our commitment to these values – innovation and expertise, integrity, communication, quality, responsibility, opportunity, and growth – informs both project decisions and behavior amongst colleagues and clients.
