As a Senior Commissioning Agent in our Houston office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.
Why we need you:
In this role, you will be responsible resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing commissioning process delivery plans based on information set forth in owner’s project requirements, basis of design, design and construction documents, as well as information gathered from users and project partners, field surveys, and code research.
Expertise of our most successful Senior Commissioning Agent:
- Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience.
- Functional knowledge of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, technology, instrumentation and controls, process and lighting systems.
- Extensive knowledge of commissioning processes and commissioning process delivery.
- Fundamental knowledge of construction processes and project delivery models.
- Understanding of applicable codes, standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them.
- Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body.
- Proficient in application of applicable technologies including computer/software, data loggers, test and measurement equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance.

- Experience in combining personal judgment and a broad perspective to make decisions that positively affect the overall commissioning process.
- Ability to access and interpret all types of design and contract instruments including BIM models.
- Ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments.
- Ability to use and instruct others in the safe use of test and measurement equipment and common tools.
- Strong spoken and written communications skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Effective working individually and within team environments.
