As a Senior Project Manager - Healthcare in our Chapel Hill office, you’ll join a collaborative community where your expertise fuels innovation, your ideas drive progress, and your work helps shape a brighter future for all.

Why We Need You:

In this role, you will exercise independent judgement to create and maintain client relationships that will develop business opportunities consistent with AEI’s strategic initiatives, achieved through collaboration with other Principals. With your expertise, you will participate with the Chapel Hill office leadership team for strategic planning, staffing, and market development.

Expected outcomes of this position will be generating and building long-term relationships (including clients, builders, and architects) and produce qualified project leads. This position also negotiates and develops consulting/teaming strategies and guides the preparation of specific marketing documents as well as participating in interview preparations as needed.  

Equally as important, this position is responsible for leading the project management and technical engineering tasks with a hand-on approach especially regarding the projects you will help procure.

Expertise of our most successful Senior Mechanical Project Engineer / Manager - Healthcare:

  • Proven ability to negotiate and secure new assignments on major healthcare.
  • Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering healthcare centric team through planning, design and construction for projects of all sizes.
  • Proven ability to provide conceptual level planning with Architects and Owner.
  • BS in Engineering or Architecture.
  • 10+ years in consulting environment designing building systems or leading design projects across core design disciplines.
  • Recent experience (within last 5 years) in the healthcare market performing management and technical leadership of the staff for large or complex projects.
  • History of very satisfied and repeat clients.
  • Ability to travel to locations where project and project development opportunities exist.
  • Professional registration is a plus.
