Here’s why we need you:
In this role, you will be responsible for resolving commissioning challenges and completing tasks assigned, including developing and implementing commissioning process delivery plans from information set forth in Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specification construction documents, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
Expertise of our most successful Commissioning Agent:
- Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience.
- General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
- Experience in computer operation and ability to learn engineering calculation programs, computer-aided drafting/BIM software for the purpose accessing and interpreting design requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and state required vehicle insurance.

- Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body.
- Ability to combine personal judgment with a wide variety of data and information to implement commissioning criteria.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, including carrying out appropriate follow-through with others, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
- Communicates well with clients, project partners and with individuals at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to apply safety training to specific construction situations and avoid unsafe work environments.
- Ability to understand and safely use test and measurement equipment and common tools.
- Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
- Strong spoken and written communications skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
