As a Lighting Designer II in our Seattle office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

 

 

Why We Need You:

In this role, you will be working with senior designers, supporting the design and documentation process.  Job tasks will include: documentation of lighting plans in CAD or Revit, testing lighting concepts/layouts in AGI, researching fixtures by phone, catalog or internet, putting together cut sheet packages using Indesign, assisting with lighting power density calculations, and creating and/or attending mockups.

 

 

Expertise of our most successful Lighting Designer II: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior or Theatre Design.
  • Fundamental knowledge of lighting design as well as of lighting sources, fixtures, lighting controls, computer-generated lighting calculations, and photometry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, Revit, and AGI.

 

Effective skills to help you flourish:

  • Experience in combining personal judgment with a wide variety of data and information to perform and evaluate system calculations and design options.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, including carrying out appropriate follow-through with others, delegating work, and giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Communicates well with individuals at all levels in the organization and project partners.
  • Ability to anticipate design work, and to delegate and balance work for others.
  • Desire to continue the learning process by attending in-house seminars and continuing education opportunities outside the office.
  • Strong spoken and written communications skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Quick technical comprehension and motivation focused on client outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Effective working individually and within team environments.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000
